No Mojo!!!!!!

Hi there,

I have major problems at the moment......I've lost it!!!  I don't know where it might be but my mojo has gone, gone, gone......

I'm not sure why and more importantly, not sure what to do about it!  Oh well, I'll keep trying!
I have been working non stop just lately (almost full time - and it's killing me! Haven't done full time for years now and don't ever intend on doing it again but hey ho....) but I guess that maybe a factor.

I have made my Mothers day card but I can't post that just in case my Mum logs on! Its my brother in laws 50th birthday next week so I need to get sorted for that.  We're going to the greyhound racing for his birthday so that should be fun and hopefully we'll have some luck on the night.

On another note, I just have to share with you all that I made my first ever cake tonight and I do think it was a hit!!!  Maybe I should have taken a picture of that but it's almost gone now.  Even my husband, who isn't a cake eater, liked it and I had to stop my son having a third slice!!!
Move over Nigella!!!!
So, hopefully I'll be back soon with something, fingers crossed.

Gifts galore..

Hasn't it been lovely seeing some sunshine?  It just makes me feel sooo much better.
I haven't been doing too many crafty bits for a while, I just seem to be busy with lots of other things which isn't good.
I was thinking about my sons teacher at school the other day and all the gifts she receives at the end of term, she must be sick of the sight of chocolate so I decided to make her a small gift box of notelet cards.

My four little cards

The box and envelope

I used the SU cottage garden stamp set with Ballet Blue and So Saffron ink pads.

Hopefully she will like them but it'll certainly make a change from all the unoriginal chocolate she gets.

I have another busy weekend ahead, am having to work on Saturday morning and then I have my nephew and his girlfriend coming over for dinner, the men, though, will be sat watching the rugby no doubt.  I understand England is doing well!!!  At least us ladies can chat chat chat.......
Then its football on Sunday. (I do hope I don't have a repeat of last week!)  Not sure what the weather is supposed to be like but it is miserable if its cold and wet!!

So, till next time xxx

Bling....

Hi there, where has this week gone?  Hasn't it flown?

So, I was back on the football sideline today as my son was feeling better but as I am sitting here all I can hear is my DH still giving constructive advice...it's 6pm and I'm still hearing it!!!!! AAARRRGGGHHHH.

I am entering two challenges this week, My Time to Craft and Stampin B's Design.  The theme is jewels and bling so here it is.....

I do have one reason to be happy today tho,  We have booked our summer holiday!!  Yippee...but only five months to go!  Hopefully we'll have some sun before then though!

The advice is still happening so I think I'll go and lock myself in my craft room so see you next time!!!

Another week...

Can you believe how quick the weeks are going by ?  I still remember a time when the weeks seemed to take forever but I guess that comes with getting older!
I didn't have to stand on the side of a freezing football pitch this weekend which was a bonus as my son wasn't feeling too great...nothing serious though so I was grateful of the rest from football!!

Entering another challenge, this one is from Stampin B's design and the theme is music.

Again the picture is shocking and doesn't do the card justice really.  I think it must be my camera as I have been practising (couldn't possibly be me!!!!) so along with umpteen other things I NEED, I'll have to invest in a new camera.

The trombone ( I think thats what that is!) is from The Stamp Man, the paper is from SU and I used the tea stain ink from the SU distressing kit.  I have gone over the swirls with a sakura stardust pen but the photo doesn't pick that up.

So, have a great week,
Bye for now

On a roll....

Now I've entered one challenge I have the bug and want to enter more!!

I came across this "black white and one other colour" on the One Stop craft challenge so I've entered this card.

Its very clean and simple but pretty I think....

Of course, you've guessed, the stamp sets are from SU, Baroque Motifs and the sentiment is from Cheers and Wishes.  The ribbon is Anita's and the scallop and circle punch is also from SU.

My DH (darling husband) is getting slightly concerned with my growing addiction for two reasons, the space (I keep trying to convince him I need a dedicated craft room!) and the mounting costs he can foresee!  He's extremely happy that it keeps me quiet and that he's free to have the remote control!!
So, until next time....

Rainy days..

Good Evening One and All,  hope things are well.

So....I've decided to enter my first challenge.  It's My Time to Craft Challenge 130 "Infants".  The cards have to be either for children or have children on.

Here is my take on it....

I've use SU 'love letter' patterned papers, the SU flower punch and then the stamp is by papermania 'Nostalgia - Rainy Days'.  I used a ruby red promarker to colour her in and then a stardust sakura pen on the umbrella and raindrops.

I made another card using the same stamp set (Windy Days) but I have decided not to enter this card.

Again, not the best picture and its not easy to see but its an easel card.  I do think the stamps are lovely though.

So, wish me luck and I'll let you know how I get on and if I enter anymore.
Have a fab weekend.

Men.......

I don't know about you but I really struggle with mens cards.
My brothers birthday is coming up and I made this card for him.....I know for a fact he won't see this so I am safe in showing it today!

Most things are from SU, Lovely as a tree stamp set, Dazzling Diamonds glitter, spiral punch and the tiny tag punch.
Its manly and boring as most of the male cards are but  I guess they are not as sentimental about things as us girls!  As long we don't forget their birhtdays, I don't think they care too much.
Anyway, until next time........
