and it may come true.......
I really love this set but I really don't use it enough. I made this card using a technique I saw in Craft Stamper magazine that I bought whilst on holiday. I hadn't bought the magazine before and I really liked it and might have to make it a regular purchase.
The technique was using a bog standard highlighter pen... I like it when you can find a use out of an every day things.
I die cut a circle of white card and covered it completely with the highlighter pen. I then distressed it using the distressing essentials kit. The main image is from the Just Believe set and then the stiching effect was done using the mat pack and paper piercer. I have heat embossed the sentiment using white embossing powder with a retired sentiment stamp.
The boys have a friend over for a sleepover tonight....and think it may be a long one!!!
Wish me luck!

Thank you cards...
That time again....... After a birthday there is always quite a few thank you cards to make. I tried to make them all different last year but gave that idea up very quickly....
We have a friend in the RAF and we were lucky enough to be invited to an employee (and guests) only family day on Elliots birthday. We were able to walk around lots of aircraft and the boys were able to sit in some, it was great. There was also an airshow which seemed to go on most of the day and included the magnificent Red Arrows....
The weather looks dreadful but it was pretty good really.
Anyway, back to the thank you cards. I had a little production line going yesterday and although they are all made, the battle will be getting the little monkey to write them all!!!
Very simple but age appropriate.....
They are postcard style using the Up, Up away set and some cord I had to make the string for the balloon. I haven't left a huge area so he won't need to write too much!!!
Thanks for stopping by,
Take care

The C word......
I can't believe it but I have made my first CHRISTMAS card.....
I don't normally make all my Christmas cards as I find the thought just too daunting but as this will be my first year as a demonstator I think I should be proactive and try and get organised. Stampin' Up have a new seasonal catalogue due out on 1st September and and I am patiently waiting for my pre order to arrive sometime tomorrow but if you are into making your Christmas cards, gifts and decorations then I strongly suggest you book a workshop with me to be able to get your hands on the fantastic goodies available.
This card is a version of a card I was asked to make last year.....
The snowflake has been made in the same way as a rosette but using the lace ribbon border punch. I did spritz it with some shimmer mist but its hard to see that on the photo. This card could only be hand delivered as the postage costs would be huge but this could be mass produced qhite easily and making the recipient think they have received a very special card.
We have had a fairly chilled day today in preparation for the week ahead but I will try and post throughout the week.
Thanks for stopping by,
Take care

Holidays over for another year...
That will explain my absence. We have been away for a week and had a fabulous time, we were really sad it came to an end quite as quick but as they say 'time flies when you're having fun'.
The card I have to show you tonight is using a technique I hadn't tried before but I think it looks really effective and soooo simple. It's paper pleating and really easy to do thanks to the Simply scored tool.
I really like this card (and for those of you who know me, I don't often say that!) I love this paper, I use it alot and another favourite, the mixed bunch set. I won the pleated ribbon in a goody bag at regional training recently and haven't used it alot but it really finishes this card off.
We are looking forward to another packed week next week and its Elliots birthday so it's busy busy and I'm yet to get him a present or make him a card......

Better flowers....
I promised you a better card (in my opinion) tonight. I just think the placing of the card is better but you live and learn and as us all crafters know, we don't make mistakes, just happy accidents!!
This card is for my friend whose birthday is today. She also makes cards and her style is very different to mine but I love them. Aaron said yesterday that he had seen a card that she had made and added "Her cards are very nearly better than yours now Mummy!!" Oh well, the world would be boring if we were all the same.
This is pretty much the same as yesterday but I do prefer it. Possibly the leaves balance it out a bit.
Thanks for stopping by,

Waiting.........
We are sitting here waiting for the mens 100m final and obviously it will all be over by the time I finish this post but who will be the olympic champion???
Guess what.....you are lucky lucky people.... Stampin' Up have yet another special offer during the month of August and this one is lovely.
I've shown you a sneek peek of this set already but it called Reason to Smile and it could be yours for FREE!!! If you place an order of 60.00 or more the set can be yours. Alternatively you can purchase it as normal, 18.95 for wood mount or 14.95 for clear mount. (Just so you know, my pound sign on my keyboard doesn't work for some reason!)

Here are a couple of cards make using this set that you have seen before;
Back to todays card. I've made a card that I'm an unsure of... I have included a spiral flower and these have never been too succesful for me in the past but I've had another try and came up with this....
I am not too happy with the placing of the flowers but I've since made another and am much happier with it but I can't show you until tomorrow. I have just noticed that I have used the same papers on all three cards in this post. I either really like it or was just using up the whole sheet (possibly a bit of both!)
So, the final is over and a particular athlete was very entertaining as usual (don't want to spoil the result for you!)
Thanks for stopping by,
Take care
