Waiting.........

We are sitting here waiting for the mens 100m final and obviously it will all be over by the time I finish this post but who will be the olympic champion???

Guess what.....you are lucky lucky people.... Stampin' Up have yet another special offer during the month of August and this one is lovely.
I've shown you a sneek peek of this set already but it called Reason to Smile and it could be yours for FREE!!!  If you place an order of 60.00 or more the set can be yours. Alternatively you can purchase it as normal, 18.95 for wood mount or 14.95 for clear mount. (Just so you know, my pound sign on my keyboard doesn't work for some reason!)

Here are a couple of cards make using this set that you have seen before;

Back to todays card.  I've made a card that I'm an unsure of...  I have included a spiral flower and these have never been too succesful for me in the past but I've had another try and came up with this....

I am not too happy with the placing of the flowers but I've since made another and am much happier with it but I can't show you until tomorrow.  I have just noticed that I have used the same papers on all three cards in this post.  I either really like it or was just using up the whole sheet (possibly a bit of both!)

So, the final is over and a particular athlete was very entertaining as usual (don't want to spoil the result for you!)

Thanks for stopping by,

Take care

Suppies used; all SU unless stated: Beyond the garden DSP, Boho blossom punch, Lace ribbon border punch, pearls, Crumb cake card, Old olive card and ink, curly cute sentiment, daffodil delight card, spritzer tool.

Non SU; white satin ribbon

Many reasons to smile......

I'm off to work again this afternoon but I've had a lovely week. On Wednesday we had the olympic torch come through the town.  I have to say that I wasn't going to bother but really glad I went.  The boys were really lucky that the school took them into town on the train to see it which they loved, it was a real adventure.  We had Claire Balding carry it past us although my picture isn't that great!!

She is there...honest!!  She ran too fast!!!!

Anyway, I had a workshop last night that was really lovely.  I had a great time with some really lovely ladies, it was a late finish but worth it.....

The hostess wanted some form of heat embossaing done so I made this card using a brand new set that is available next month....giving you a sneek peek!!

It a two step stamp set called Reason to Smile and its beautful....you may well see it often, I'll apologise in advance!  There is an offer with this stamp set but I will reveal all nearer to the end of the month.

We had the boys school reports this week and they have both done very well, we are very proud of their achievements,  they are working very hard with their school work and for that we are very pleased.  Aaron just needs to be a bit quieter in class!!!!! Bless him!!

So, I'm off to work...Joy!!!

Where have I been ???

What a horrible few days we've had.....  We have all had a bug (except Elliot, who I'm sure won't be long) and it has really wiped us out!!!
I haven't felt so bad for a long time but hopefully I am on the mend now!   I've even had to cancel cardclub tonight as I didn't want to pass anything on but very disappointed that I had to make that decision!!

Can you believe though, I haven't even had the inclination to craft....shock horror!! I'm about to put an end to that and start my swaps for next months training now though.

I was playing last week with a card that was originally a sketch from the simply stampin challenge blog from last week although I never bothered to enter it as it didn't turn out according to plan.  It was a little out of my comfort zone and I have decided to post it here as I wanted to show you how we all make mistakes and I think that this is really not a good card!!!!!

Maybe it's just too busy for me.....who knows!!!

This post has taken me ages to write as I keep being called upstairs (I should be skinny!) Aaron is complaining of tummy pains again, think it may be a long night.

Thanks for stopping by and apologies again for the absence.
